June Projects for Serendipity Scrapbooks

Sorry, it took so long to post these...read the last entry and you'll figure out why. :) I have some more projects done but I need to scan them first. Hope you enjoy these!! Kristen sent me papers from My Mind's Eye Mademoiselle Collection. I had a lot of fun playing with them! Can't wait to show you what else I've been working on!!! ;)

Long Time, No See!

Sheesh...and I thought things were going to slow down once school was finished!! Not even close!!! So for a little catch-up....June 6th was my birthday. The kids went to my parents and Brannon and I got to go on a date. He even took me to my favorite Chinese restaurant, which really means a lot since he HATES Chinese food! Then, it was a trip to Michaels AND Hobby Lobby. I got to see my friend Peggy who is one of the managers at M's...haven't seen her for a long time so it was a lot of fun to chat with her for awhile. Brannon let me buy stuff at both stores. I got a couple of those Crop N Style-like cubes from M's and some bling. At Hobby Lobby, I bought a set of the Doodlebug Flocking. Can't wait to dig into those little jars. He also let me get ALL 3 KITS from Serendipity...it was my review month so I didn't get a kit for June. If you haven't seen them yet, hop on over and check them out...they are my favorites so far!! One of them is the Archaic line from Basic Grey. ;) And the 2nd best surprise I got (the first being an actual date with Brannon) was the news that I won the Guest Designer Spot on www.scrapbooks.com!!! I bought the Cogsmo line from Cosmo Cricket for my layout...I have the perfect pics to go with it too! I can't wait to get started with it. I LOVE that line!

A little bit of bad news...at least to our pocketbook. Our dryer decided it didn't want to work anymore after 2 1/2 years. Dad was afraid of doing more damage than good if he tried to fix it so I called a few repair places. Just for them to come to my house was going to cost between $65 and $70 and then whatever they decided to say was wrong with it. Brannon didn't want to sink a lot of money into it...he was afraid with our luck it'd be something really expensive...so we just bought a new one. Dad took the other one home so he could tinker with it and see if he could figure it out. The delivery guys finally brought the new one yesterday and then couldn't get it through the bathroom door. They weren't allowed to tear off the trim so Brannon had to do it today. So now I can do laundry again...I don't mind hanging out some clothes to dry but with our makeshift clothesline it was more trouble than it was worth. I wouldn't mind having a real clothesline to use for towels and other heavy stuff though but that's another project for another day.

Last night was our chat with Tim Holtz on Serendipity. It was sooo much fun!! If you missed it, Kristen posted the recap here.

Today is Caden's 5th birthday. I can't believe that little guy will be in kindergarten next year. Next Wednesday is Colton's birthday too. So needless to say, it's been a pretty busy month. Brannon stayed home from work today so he could spend the day with Caden. He took us to McDonald's this morning for breakfast and so the kids could play. We walked and it had started raining by the time we were leaving. But a little rain never hurt anyone so we just walked in it. A little later, we had cake and the boys got to open some of their presents. We split them up so they would have something to open on Colton's birthday too. We got them some Lego sets since they love playing with the ones at Nana and Papa's (hint...took certain pics that will go with a certain paper line that I love!). Colton also got a set of planes and helicoptors. Caden got a Racer X car and we got Colton Speed Racer...didn't take him long to figure out how to shoot those little disks out of there either. :) It's been a fun day for them but boy am I tired!!!

And to my friend Aja...congrats on your new baby boy!!! He's a cutie!!
