glitter: Doodlebug (Tangerine)

Non-kit items:

ink: Stampin’ Up!

decorative tape: Heidi Swapp

Happy Birthday stamp: Heidi Swapp

Instructions:

  1. Fold 6 x 12” piece of cardstock in ½ to form card base.
  2. Adhere strip of City Park to piece of Jacks. Trim to fit card front—I made mine 5 ¾ x 5 ¾. Ink edges. Adhere decorative tape over seam.
  3. Stamp sentiment on left-side of card on little strip.
  4. On big side, rub-on an adhesive flower and pour glitter. Shake off excess and return to jar. ( I cut my flower center separate so I could use the tangerine glitter for it.)

Princess Card

Another project from Serendipity Scrapbooks March Altered Kit. There's still time to get one!!

Kit items:

orange cardstock: Bazzill
glitter cardstock: Doodlebug Designs
rub-ons: Scenic Route (Afterthoughts)

Non-kit items:

ticket corner punch: Stampin’ Up!
ribbon: SU!
corner rounder: SU!
marker: SU!
stamp: SU!
Staz-on: Tsukineko

Instructions:

  1. Fold a 6 x 6 square of cardstock in ½.
  2. Cut stripe paper to 2 ¾ x 5 ¾. Fix corners how you want or just leave them (I used a ticket corner punch).
  3. Tie 8” ribbon around stripe and adhere to card base. Hint: Tie ribbon ends 1st close to the ends. Then figure out where on your paper you want the knot to go. Clip the loop keeping your placement in mind and just tape the free ends behind your paper. This will help you not waste a lot of ribbon.
  4. Cut a 2 ½ x 3” piece of glitter cardstock. Round corners. Re-color with a marker or ink pad. Turn over on scrap piece of paper and rub to remove excess ink (or dab with a paper towel).
  5. Use Staz-on to stamp image on glitter cardstock. Color with markers and remove excess ink. Adhere to card front.
  6. Apply rub-ons underneath stamped piece.

Brotherly Love

This layout was done using the March Altered Kit from Serendipity Scrapbooks also. You'll soon see I got a lot of mileage out of that kit! I just bought the March I Deserve It All kit but haven't had a chance to play with it yet.

Here are the instructions for this layout...enjoy!!

Kit items:

patterned paper: Dream Street Papers (Sweet Confection: Cotton Candy); American Crafts (Metropolitan: Sydney)
rub-ons: Scenic Route (Afterthoughts); Fancy Pants (Splendor)
glitter: Doodlebug Designs (Tangerine)
glitter chipboard alpha: Doodlebug Designs
Popsicle stick: from one of the packages of rub-ons

Non-kit items:

black ink: Stampin’ Up!
white gel pen: Uni-ball Signo
marker: SU!
rub-ons: Making Memories (letters: Destination)
Crop-a-Dile: We R Memory Keepers
dimensional gloss: SU!
ribbon: American Crafts

Instructions:

1. Print focal photo with white border. Print a smaller photo strip and leave a white border around it too. (My photos: 4 x 6 with 1/8” border; strip: photos are 2 ½ x 2, space between is ½”, and border is 1/8”).

2. Cut out flower pattern. (I used one on the edge since it was going under my picture anyway.) Ink with black ink. Doodle with white gel pen, if desired.

3. Add glitter to orange flowers on background page.

4. Adhere flower cut out to photo strip. Apply flourish rub-on to flower.

5. Re-color glitter letters, if desired. Adhere to page.

6. Adhere photos to page.

7. Finish title out with rub-ons (or stickers) if needed.

8. Add journaling.

9. Apply rub-ons to Popsicle stick. Punch holes in ends with Crop-a-Dile and tie ribbon on. Top with dimensional adhesive—this will help seal the rub-ons.

10. Use flower templates from vase project, trace flowers on back of labeling that came out of vase. Make sure you are on the polka dot part (the small flower fits). Cut out. Trace larger flower anywhere else. Cut and color in with markers and decorate with glitter. Adhere to page.

11. Journal using the lines on the background page.

12. Finish off by doodling if you want.

Colton's Pocket

The layout is about Colton. He has started using his diaper like a pocket--kinda like Tommy on the Rugrats. He was so proud of himself!! This is another one I did for the March Altered Kit at Serendipity Scrapbooks.

Kit items:

patterned paper: Dream Street Papers (Sweet Confection: Taffy and Caramel Corn)
glitter: Doodlebug Designs (Tangerine)
rub-on: Scenic Route (Afterthoughts)
glitter chipboard alphabet: Doodlebug Designs

Non-kit items:

corner rounder: EK Success
hole punch: Fiskars
white gel pen: Uni-ball Signo
white alpha rub-ons: Doodlebug
black marker: Zig Writer by EK Success
2-Way Glue: EK Success (for glitter)

Instructions:

1. Use Caramel Corn as base for layout.

2. Doodle inside sunburst with white gel pen.

3. Round left-side corners of 5 x 7 photo. Adhere to a slightly larger mat made from Taffy. I made the long side of the mat a little longer than normal so I could scallop the edge. Apply rub-on word to photo.

4. Apply 2-Way glue to 3 sides of mat and sprinkle on glitter. Tap off excess and return to jar. Punch little holes in scallops and doodle around them. Adhere to upper-right of page.

5. Cut a 3” square of Taffy. Cut in ½ diagonally. Cut triangle out of middle of one of the ½’s to form a photo corner. Apply glitter and doodle. Adhere to bottom-left corner of page.

6. Create title with glitter chipboard alphas and line up with photo corner. Adhere.

7. Freehand stars and arrow and cut out. Adhere to page.
