Some of my projects from the Crop
For this layout, the challenge was to use polka dots, a heart, at least three brads, journaling, and stamps. I have had these pictures sitting on my desk now for a couple of weeks. I found them while looking for some other ones I was wanting to scrap. Caden was 1 in these pics. He loved trying on shoes and walking around in them. He also liked to take off with Brannon's shoes when he was trying to get ready for work in the morning.
The challenge for this one was to use a love song--title, lyrics, or even a kids song. I used Barney's I Love You song. I forgot to put on the 're for we're and I also had two other pics I was going to use...found those again a couple hours later. I was running short on time fixing this and mom dropped by so I was pretty rushed. I have fixed the title in the original but you'll have to use your imagination for the photo! BTW...another scrapper and I won this challenge! Woohooo!!
Of course this one was a fun one for me! We had to make two adult and two child birthday cards. All of these stamps are Stampin' Up! but are retired.
Christy's challenge was How Do I Love Thee? We could do a layout about anyone we considered our sweetie. I found this picture of Caden while I was looking through my Organizer and thought it'd be perfect. We had to do our journaling in list format too. I kinda messed up on that one...I did my journaling in paragraph form and cut it into strips. I already entered it before I realized it.
This challenge was about color. We had to use pink, white, black, and red. I finally manged to pull all those together. It was pretty hard adding pink to a layout about Brannon. I'm sure he didn't appreciate it! Oh well, he'll get over it!!
This one is pretty busy but Colton is 2 so it fits!! We were to use a giant 2 in our title. I cut my 2 out on the Cricut Expressions. Instead of using the two, I used the negative. I printed a contact sheet of a bunch of pictures of Colton since his 2nd birthday, cut them out, and placed them beneath the cut-out two. This one was my favorite to work on!
For the last challenge I got to work on, the only thing we had to do was use hearts as a border. Since all my other layouts were my family, I decided to change things up a little and use my scraproom. I used a chipboard heart from Stampin' Up! and traced around it on cork and cut them out. I just stapled them to the page. I found some office paper in my supplies so thought that was perfect for this.
I wish I had been able to do all the challenges. I may still go back and do them for the sake of doing them. I have a couple on Crop Addict I'm wanting to do too! And, I can't forget the calendar pages for Two Peas. So I'm going to be a busy girl!! I did get 8 layouts done this weekend (two are for one of March's kits at Serendipity...you can see those on March 1). Just need 7 more for my monthly goal of 15!!
