Kind Card

I looked in my cabinets the other day and found my Palette o' Prints from an SU! promotion back in April. The paper from that is now the Print Designer Series Paper in the new catalog. I thought the swirly paper would be perfect for the Baroque Motifs stamp set.

This is how I made this card. I folded a piece of 6 x 6 Purely Pomegranate cardstock in 1/2. Cut a piece of So Saffron Prints DSP to 2 3/4 x 5 3/4". Round the edges with a small corner rounder and ink the edges with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink. Stamp small flower on some of the swirls with Purely Pomegranate ink. Stamp larger flower image with Purely Pomegranate on Whisper White cardstock. Punch out with 1 1/4" square punch. Punch hole in flower center and place an Antique Brass brad (from Hodgepodge Hardware) in center. Ink edges with Chocolate Chip. Punch a 1 3/8" square from So Saffron cardstock and cut a 2" square out of Purely Pomegranate cardstock. Ink those edges with Chocolate Chip also. Adhere the So Saffron and Purely Pomegranate squares together. Put the flower square on the other two with Stampin' Dimensionals and adhere the whole thing to the top center of card with dimensionals. Stamp "kind" on Whisper White cardstock with Purely Pomegranate. Punch out with small oval punch. Adhere to back of small oval label holder from Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware. Tie Whisper White taffeta ribbon to each side of label holder and adhere to card bottom with a glue dot. Wrap ribbon to back of So Saffron DSP and tape ends to hold. Adhere the whole thing to the card base.

Now, if my kids will leave me alone for awhile, I'll go make something else!!
