Color your World

I love color and playing with colors. Heck, there's nothing better than a brand-new, untouched by children box of Crayola Crayons (the BIG box!)!! I like color books as much as the kids do. So for those of you out there that love color as much as I do, I have posted a new link under My Favorite Blogs and Web Sites. It's called Stampin' Up! Color Combo. I'm not sure where I found this...probably somewhere on Splitcoaststampers...so sorry to the creator of this. Whoever it is did a wonderful job and put a lot of hard work into this. When you click on the link, it brings up all of Stampin' Up!'s colors (even the new In Colors if you want a preview!). You can make up your own color combos or choose a color and let it make one for you. You can also hit the Surprise Me link...it is all random so you never know what you will end up with. It is a lot of fun to play with...the colors on the screen are pretty too! Try this out and see what you can come up with. Shoot me an email with your results...I'd love to see them (meaning in a finished project)!

Another Demo Planner Challenge

This month our Demo Planner Challenge was for 6 x 6 scrapbook page or we could make it into a card if we wanted. I used it to make a brag book page for Ali's last day of school. The page is made from Old Olive cardstock. The picture mat is More Mustard, the tag is Confetti White, and the corner piece is a Rose Red piece from the Palette o' Prints that was part of last month's promotion. I used Big Blooms and colored the stamp with the same color markers. Then, I went over the petals with Pure Color pencils to brighten it a little and give it more of a crayon look to it (after all, it's a page about a 1st-grader!). The ribbon is from the Sweet Shop Ribbon Originals. The brads are from Earth Elements and Rich Regals. The flowers were adhered to the page using Stampin' Dimensionals. I placed my journaling on the tag (behind the picture) and stapled Mustard grosgrain ribbon to it. I may try to do some more layouts for the challenge but for right now this is all I have. School just got out and we are busy with summer stuff (sprinklers, kiddie pool, etc). I took a bunch of pictures yesterday for the first day of summer vacation and I'll try to get some scrapped soon so you can see what I'm in for this summer!!
