I received my October kit from Crop Addict last Thursday. The box also included September's kit and my prize from the July challenge I was telling you about. The prize was a BUNCH of paper from Three Bugs in a Rug! Yall know how I love patterned paper so I was stoked!! I haven't played with my September kit yet. I have to do 4 layouts and a project with the October one first since I'm a guest designer so I've really been working on that. I'm in the process of doing my project and I have 3 layouts done already.
This is the first one I did. Ali's Brownie troop went to Wild Things Farm last year for a field trip. I think the paper was perfect for this. All of the paper, ribbon, and flowers came from the kit. The stuff I added is a charm from Nunn Design, ink from Bazzill, date stamp from Colorbok, skeleton leaves from Stampin' Up!, letter stickers from Polar Bear Press, and the tab punch from McGill. My journaling is on a card with the tab under the big picture on the first page of the layout. I also wanted to include all the pictures I could so I printed them out as a contact sheet and trimmed around them.
This is the second layout I made and really my favorite one. I really love Basic Grey's collections and we've been getting a lot of paper from them lately. Insert BIG smiley face!!! Once again, most things came from the kit but I added a few from my own stash also. The slide mounts are from Design Originals, distress ink from Ranger, chocolate marker from EK Success, some ribbon from Hobby Lobby, the corner rounder, sanding block, Hodgepodge Hardware, stamps, chocolate craft ink, and dimensional adhesive from SU!, and the Crop-a-Dile tool from We R Memory Keepers (to punch out the center of the clock). My journaling is also on a tag under the main photo.
And, this is my third one. The popsicle stick was included to use with the rub-ons but it kept saying "stamp me" so I did! Pretty much everything is from the kit on this one too. Extras: stamps from Close to my Heart (shhhh...don't tell!); ink, eyelets, beads, copper cord, and glue dots from SU!; rub-on from Basic Grey; journaling pen from EK Success; copper swirl clip-unknown; and a piece of Velcro to hold the folder shut. My journaling is written on the inside of the folder.
I hope you enjoyed these! I'll post the other projects as I finish them. TFL!
