....when I did that challenge on Crop Addict? It was the Bathtime layout a few posts down. Anyway, I won!! Yippee!!! I've never won anything like that before so I'm pretty excited. I can't wait to see if I won the Guest Design Team contest too. Even if I don't, I had a lot of fun with it. The products we were given for the contest aren't normally ones I'd pick out so it was a big challenge for me. I love doing challenges...don't always have the time to do them like I want but I do love them! Anyway, just wanted to let you know how the contest ended. Until next time...

PS...I'm still working on my stamp camp samples and I PROMISE to upload them soon!

It's been awhile...

but I've been here; just really, really busy with school starting and working on another Guest Design Team contest for Crop Addict. I'm not going to post those here but if you want to see them, go to http://www.cropaddict.com/. Click on Gallery, Guest DT #2 and mine are under "croppycatter". It was a lot of fun and I'm finally done!! YIPPEEE!!!

I've also been working on my stamp camp projects. As soon as I finish all of them, I'll post them. We will be making a 2008 calendar, gift card holder, a Christmas planner, and a stack of 10 cards.

Today, I had a friend come over to scrap with. This is the layout I finished (after finishing with my Crop Addict stuff). It's made from CA's August kit. The extras I added are Certainly Celery Classic ink and our corner rounder that was in last year's catalog. Everything else is from the kit.

Now, I need to get my technique class ready for Friday. I had forgotten all about it until someone called me yesterday and said that they are coming! Ooopppsss! Guess I need to get my rear in gear!

Mr. Bean

My boys are Mr. Bean's biggest fans. Me...not so much! I don't know exactly what it is about him that they really like. Maybe, it's because he acts like a kid does. I watched something on Rowan Atkinson once and he said he tried to model what a 9-year old would do. I believe he succeeded. So I guess since I can't get him to leave my house, he might as well take his place in our scrapbooks! So here's to you Mr. Bean...may you always have a place in my boys' hearts. But could you at least let me have the TV once in a while???

Supplies: orange cardstock (Craft, Etc from Hobby Lobby); red cardstock, white cardstock, black ink, ribbon (Stampin' Up!); rub-ons (Basic Grey); date stamp, paint (Making Memories); ghost frame (Heidi Swapp); staples

WOW...2 Layouts in 2 Days!

I'm not sure how this happened but I've managed to complete another layout. AND my house is clean!! I had some friends over this morning so that's why it's clean. And, clean house = time to scrapbook. The only roadblock I had was Ali and Caden waking Colton up early but he actually settled down pretty quick. I flipped my Designing with 2007 calendar (Autumn Leaves) over to today and there was the cutest little page with a sketch. I used the sketch and adapted it to a 12 x 12 layout. I used to think that I was cheating if I used someone else's sketch for my pages...that they weren't really my own. But I've finally realized that no matter how many people have the same blueprint, that all the pages will be different. So, when I'm in a slump, I don't feel a bit guilty about pulling out my magazines or sketch books or even sketch web sites. BTW...there is an awesome web site full of sketches for pages, cards, tags, etc. It's http://www.pagemaps.com/. I'll post a link in the sidebar so you can find it again. You'll have a great time playing with that one!

Water break

In July, we went to my in-laws to visit. We decided to take a road trip to Smackover and El Dorado. While there we went to the Museum of Natural Resources (at least I think that's what it is called) and then we went to the arboretum. After we walked a few of the trails at the arboretum, we had a little picnic at the pavilion. At some point, I looked over and saw Colton with a bottle of water that he stole out of the cooler. I didn't even know he could get the lid off but he was sitting there guzzling it all up! I had to take these pictures of him since he was so cute.

Supplies: Most from Crop Addict's July Kit. paper (Lil' Davis Designs); cardstock (Bazzill); chipboard (Lisa Bearnson, QVC); paint, distress kit, "relax" definition (Making Memories); distress tool (Stampin' Up!); slide clips (Heidi Swapp); brads, glass marble (Hot of the Press); ribbon (May Arts); rub-ons (Junkitz); tab punch (McGill); journaling pen (ZIG Millenium, EK Success)
