Altered Franklin Quest Binder

A few weeks ago, I was in Michael's and discovered Martha Stewart's wrapping paper with the rest of her scrapbook supplies. Brannon has a couple of Franklin Quest binders that he had received from his job years ago and I've been wanting to do something with them. Well, I guess at first I wanted to trash them but Brannon, being the pack rat that he is, decided that we needed to keep them just in case. Boy, am I glad he did!! I have a Memory Dock Scrapbook Planner. I have been wanting to get the Memory Dock storage thing that holds the pages when you need to take them out of the binder but I really didn't want to spend that much for it. So, I've been trying to figure out how to convert Brannon's binder into something that I liked. Here enters Martha Stewart. That paper was perfect for what I was wanting to do!! And, my Memory Dock pages fit in it perfectly too. The hardware, brushed gold cardstock, and ribbon are from Stampin' Up! and the eyelets (for the ribbon) is from We R Memory Keepers. I used a drill to make the brad holes for the name plate and the eyelet holes were made with the Crop-a-Dile (I just love that little guy!).
I think I'm going to use the other binder for my Autumn Leaves Desk Calendar when the year is over. I just need to go to Michael's again and pick out another color and then I'm off to play again!
